Choose one memory, tell them why it matters, and wish them well for what's next. A short, specific story gives them something to remember. Adapt these fictional examples to your own relationship.
For a coworker starting a new job
Lauren, I'll always remember how you stayed to help me finish my first big presentation. You made the team feel like a place where I belonged. Your new team is lucky to have you. — Sam
For a friend moving away
Maya, our Sunday walks usually ended with cold coffee because we never stopped talking. I'll miss having you around the corner. Here's to finding our next favorite coffee shop when I visit. — Jess
For a teacher leaving the school
Mr. Rivera, you made room for every question, even when we were afraid to ask. I'll remember the day you let us try our own experiment and helped us figure out why it didn't work. Wishing you a wonderful next chapter. — Alex

A Charis farewell gift is a unique, memorable experience about the time you shared: approved memories from everyone who'll miss them, optional trivia from those memories, photos of your time together, and a full-length song based on the group's stories and wishes.
No. One person, the organizer, builds and pays for the gift. Everyone else adds their memory and photos for free, with no account. It is a group gift in the way that matters: everyone is in it.
Any of them. A new job, a move across the country, a last day at school or church, a friend heading overseas. If a group of people will miss someone, the gift fits.
Start with one specific memory, say what you appreciate or will miss about them, and finish with a wish for what comes next. A few sentences in your own words are enough. You can add a photo that goes with the story; the organizer reviews each contribution before sharing the gift.
The organizer shares a memory link. Anyone with it can add a memory and up to three photos from their phone, with no account and no sign-in. Every memory waits for the organizer's approval before it reaches them, and if someone edits theirs after approval it goes back to the organizer first. You can set a closing date so the link shuts itself before the last day.
Up to thirty memories per gift, each with its own page in the experience. Three people or thirty, it reads the same way: one at a time, in their own words.
An experience they open on their phone: everyone's memories as pages they turn through, optional trivia from those memories, a montage if you added photos, and a song written from the group's stories that they can replay wherever they land.
Yes. The contribution link opens a read-only shared draft with approved memories, group-based trivia and draft lyrics. Unfinished moments are labelled. Participants can flag a correction for the organizer, who reviews the lyrics before recording the song and shares the finished gift.
Start with a few details and invite the group to add their memories. Photos and the song may take a little longer to prepare. Preview the finished gift, then share its link whenever you are ready. Nothing needs to ship or be installed.
Farewell is built as a premium Keepsake gift only ($10), because the collected memories, the montage and the full-length song are the whole point. It never expires: they can open it again years from now.
The organizer creates the gift with a quick sign-in. Contributors and the person leaving need nothing. They tap a link and it opens in their browser.
